Kaizer Chiefs could sack Fernando Da Cruz before the FIFA break

According to a close source at Naturena Village, Kaizer Chiefs head coach Fernando Da Cruz could be facing the possibility of losing his job before the upcoming FIFA international break.

The club’s management is reportedly becoming increasingly concerned about the team’s performances and results under the French tactician. After nine league matches, Amakhosi have collected just 13 points, a return that has reportedly raised serious questions about the direction in which the team is heading.

Another major concern is the club’s early elimination from the MTN8 competition, which has added further pressure on the technical team. Expectations were high when Da Cruz took charge, with supporters hoping that his appointment would mark the beginning of a new chapter for the Glamour Boys.

However, the results so far have reportedly left sections of the management questioning whether the current technical project is delivering the progress they expected.

Our source further indicates that discussions regarding Da Cruz’s future have taken place within the club’s management structures. While no official decision has been communicated publicly, the possibility of a coaching change before the FIFA break is reportedly being considered.

BUT WHO COULD REPLACE HIM?

One name that could potentially enter the conversation is experienced South African tactician Manqoba Mngqithi.

Mngqithi has extensive experience in South African football, having worked with some of the biggest clubs in the country. His tactical knowledge, understanding of the local game and experience in competing for major honours could make him an interesting name should Kaizer Chiefs decide to make a change.

At this stage, however, there is no confirmed agreement or official indication that Mngqithi has been approached by Amakhosi.

For now, all eyes remain on Naturena as supporters wait to see what decision the club’s leadership will make regarding the future of Fernando Da Cruz.

Could Manqoba Mngqithi be the man to take Kaizer Chiefs forward?

What is your opinion, Amakhosi faithful? 👀✌️
