Orlando Pirates could be considering a sensational move to bring Relebohile Mofokeng back to the club, with reports suggesting that the Buccaneers have prepared a bid to re-sign their former star.

Mofokeng completed his move from Pirates to Belgian side Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in 2026 after the two clubs reached an agreement for his transfer. Pirates officially confirmed the agreement on 1 July, bringing an end to months of speculation surrounding the highly rated South African youngster.

The possibility of a return would undoubtedly create excitement among the Pirates faithful. Mofokeng developed into one of the club’s most influential young players and played a major role in their successful campaign before making the move to Europe.
