Kaizer Chiefs supporters may have received a positive boost regarding Ethan Chislett, with the attacking midfielder still working his way back from an injury that has kept him out of action.
Chislett featured in Chiefs’ opening Betway Premiership match of the 2026/27 campaign against Kruger United, playing 78 minutes in the 3–1 victory. He was subsequently left out of the squad as coach Fernando Da Cruz carefully managed his fitness during a demanding period of the season. Da Cruz previously confirmed that Chislett was being managed cautiously alongside Flavio Silva because of the congested fixture schedule.
The 27-year-old remains an important attacking option for Amakhosi, particularly because of his ability to operate between midfield and attack and create opportunities in the final third.
There is now growing anticipation over whether Chislett could make his return when Kaizer Chiefs face Siwelele FC. The fixture has been confirmed for Sunday, 6 September 2026, at 17:30 at Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto.
However, his involvement should not yet be treated as confirmed. His final availability will depend on his recovery and the medical team’s assessment before the match.
For Chiefs fans, Chislett’s potential return would provide another attacking option as Fernando Da Cruz continues building his squad. If he is declared fit, supporters will be hoping to see the midfielder back on the pitch and ready to make an impact against Siwelele.
