Kaizer Chiefs Starting XI: New Signing Change the Picture

🟡 Kaizer Chiefs Possible Starting XI: New Signings Could Change the Picture

Kaizer Chiefs could have a fresh look to their starting XI as coach Fernando Da Cruz continues to shape his squad for the new campaign. Amakhosi have already shown different tactical approaches this season, using both a 4-4-2 and a 4-3-3 formation.

Based on the lineups used previously, Brandon Petersen has been the preferred goalkeeper, while the arrival of Renaldo Leaner has added more competition between the posts.

In defence, Reeve Frosler and Inacio Miguel have been regular choices, while Thabo Moloisane has quickly become another option at centre-back following his move from Stellenbosch FC.

The midfield could see one of the biggest changes. Adolf Mtasingwa Bitegeko has joined Chiefs from Azam FC and can operate both as a number six and number eight, giving Da Cruz another option in the middle of the park.

Further forward, Mfundo Vilakazi remains an important attacking outlet, with the likes of Pule Mmodi, Wandile Duba, Luke Baartman and Etiosa Ighodaro competing for places.

New signing Langelihle Phili also gives Chiefs another attacking option after his arrival from Stellenbosch FC, while Faiz Abrahams has already made an impression after joining the club.

🔥 POSSIBLE XI

Goalkeeper: Renaldo Leaner

Defence: Reeve Frosler, Inacio Miguel, Thabo Moloisane, Bradley Cross

Midfield: Adolf Mtasingwa Bitegeko, Lebohang Maboe, Siphesihle Ndlovu

Attack: Mfundo Vilakazi, Khanyisa Mayo, Langelihle Phili

This is not an official starting XI, but rather a possible lineup based on Da Cruz’s previous selections and the new options available to him.

With competition for places increasing at Naturena, Chiefs supporters could see several changes as the coach looks for his strongest combination. 🟡⚫

The biggest question now is whether the new signings can force their way into the coach’s preferred XI and help Amakhosi push for success domestically and in CAF competition.
