Mofokeng Names Three South African Stars He Would Love to Have at Union

Relebohile Mofokeng has revealed three South African players he would consider bringing to Royale Union Saint-Gilloise if he had the opportunity to strengthen the squad with talent from back home.

During a recent interview, Mofokeng was asked an interesting question: if he could choose three players to sign for Union Saint-Gilloise, which South African footballers would he pick? His choices immediately caught the attention of supporters, with the young star naming Mfundo Vilakazi, Evidence “Radiopane” and Thalente Mbatha.

Mofokeng’s selections highlight the quality and potential he sees in the next generation of South African football. All three players have attracted attention through their performances and are regarded as footballers capable of making an impact at a high level.

Vilakazi, known for his technical ability and creativity, is one of the young talents who has generated significant excitement in South African football. His ability to operate in attacking areas and create opportunities makes him an intriguing option for a European club looking to add youthful attacking quality.

Radiopane is another name on Mofokeng’s list. The forward has built a reputation as a promising attacking player, with his movement, finishing and ability to find dangerous positions making him a player to watch. A move to European football would represent another potential step in his development.

The third player mentioned was Thalente Mbatha, a midfielder admired for his energy, work rate and ability to contribute in the middle of the park. His physical presence and determination could provide a different dimension to a European squad.

Mofokeng’s choices also underline the strong connection between South African football and the growing number of young players seeking opportunities abroad. Having already made the move to Belgium himself, the winger is now experiencing European football first-hand and understands the demands that come with competing outside South Africa.

While Mofokeng’s selections were made in the context of an interview and do not indicate that Union Saint-Gilloise are planning to sign any of the three players, his answers have certainly sparked discussion among football supporters.

For South African fans, the idea of seeing Mofokeng, Vilakazi, Radiopane and Mbatha together in European football is an exciting one—and his choices have once again put the spotlight on some of the country’s emerging talent.
