Kaizer Chiefs manager Bobby Motaung has made a strong statement regarding the expectations placed on head coach Fernando Da Cruz as the club continues its pursuit of success. Motaung has made it clear that the French coach understands the responsibility that comes with leading one of South Africa’s biggest football clubs.
Speaking to FARPost in an exclusive interview, Motaung stressed that Da Cruz’s mandate goes beyond simply competing. According to Motaung, the new coach knows that he is expected to challenge for major trophies, including the league title and cup competitions, while also working to restore the glory days that Kaizer Chiefs supporters have been longing for.
“The new coach obviously knows he has to win the league, he has to win cups, he has to bring the glory days back. He must enjoy his work with the support that we are giving him with the players and everybody,” Motaung said.
