Two people, aged 30 and 22, have been arrested in connection with the tragic shooting and killing of South African boxing champion Zolani Tete in NU17, Mdantsane, on Friday, 21 August 2026.
The arrests were made in Gompo on Saturday, 22 August, following an investigation involving several law-enforcement units. Authorities have been working to establish the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting and identify those responsible for the incident.
