KAIZER CHIEFS TRANSFER LATEST: LORCH DEAL OFF, MULTI-PLAYER BID REJECTED, MATULUDI TALKS STALL

Kaizer Chiefs’ transfer activity continues to attract significant attention as the club works behind the scenes to strengthen its squad ahead of the new season. However, several of the latest negotiations appear to have hit major obstacles, with three potential moves involving Thembinkosi Lorch, Maxwele and Jiyane, as well as Thabang Matuludi, facing uncertainty.

The proposed move for Thembinkosi Lorch has now officially fallen through. Chiefs were approached regarding the player, but the club ultimately rejected the proposal. Despite the interest surrounding the experienced attacker, the latest developments indicate that a deal will not materialise at this stage. Lorch’s future therefore remains a subject of discussion, but Kaizer Chiefs have made their position clear by turning down the approach.

Meanwhile, negotiations involving Maxwele and Jiyane have also suffered a setback. Kaizer Chiefs reportedly submitted an improved offer in an attempt to make progress on the potential deal. The proposal included player Naledi Hlongwane as part of the package, signalling the club’s willingness to explore a multi-player arrangement to secure the targeted players.

However, the improved proposal was firmly rejected. This latest development means the two clubs remain apart in their valuation and expectations, leaving Chiefs with a difficult decision over whether to return with another offer or consider alternative targets in the transfer market.

The situation surrounding Thabang Matuludi is similarly complicated. Talks between the relevant parties have stalled, with negotiations currently remaining in the early stages. No significant progress has been made, and the situation is yet to reach an advanced phase.

For Kaizer Chiefs, these developments highlight the challenges involved in navigating the transfer market. While the club remains active and continues to explore opportunities, not every target will be secured.

With the transfer window still providing room for movement, Chiefs could yet revisit some negotiations or turn their attention towards alternative targets. Supporters will now be watching closely for further updates as the club looks to build a competitive squad capable of challenging for major honours this season.
