Cedric kaze speaks I didn’t like the game against Chiefs

Kaze Left With Bitter Taste After Chiefs Defeat

Sekhukhune United head coach Cedric Kaze has admitted that their 2-0 defeat to Kaizer Chiefs left him with a bitter taste, particularly given his strong connection with the Soweto giants.

Kaze’s side entered the fixture with confidence after making an impressive start to their Betway Premiership campaign. Sekhukhune opened the season with a convincing 2-0 victory over Polokwane City, raising expectations that they could carry that momentum into their clash with Chiefs.

However, they were unable to produce the same level of performance at the crucial moments as Chiefs secured a 2-0 victory.

The result was particularly significant for Kaze, who knows the Amakhosi setup well. The coach was part of the Kaizer Chiefs technical team last season, working alongside the coaching staff before eventually taking charge at Sekhukhune United.

Facing his former club therefore added an emotional element to what was already an important league fixture.

While Kaze would have wanted his current team to come away with a positive result, Chiefs proved more clinical and punished Sekhukhune when opportunities presented themselves.

The defeat also highlighted the work still required by Kaze as he looks to establish his philosophy at Sekhukhune. After a promising opening-day victory, the loss against Chiefs showed that consistency will be crucial if the club wants to compete strongly throughout the season.

For Kaze, however, the result was undoubtedly more difficult to accept because of his history with Chiefs.

The Sekhukhune coach will now be hoping his players can respond quickly and return to winning ways in their next Betway Premiership encounter.
