Relebohile Mofokeng is heading to Europe now few club’s want him

Relebohile Mofokeng’s impressive start to life in European football is reportedly attracting serious interest from some of the biggest clubs on the continent.

The Union SG winger is reportedly being monitored by Atlético Madrid, Napoli, Chelsea and Brighton & Hove Albion, according to Turkish transfer journalist Ekrem Konur. The former Orlando Pirates star has quickly established himself as one of South Africa’s most exciting young talents since making the move to Belgium.

Mofokeng has made an immediate impact, registering three goals and one assist in the Belgian Pro League. He also announced himself on the European stage by scoring on his Europa League debut against Viktoria Plzeň, while he found the net on his Belgian league debut against Westerlo.

His performances have also continued at international level. Representing Bafana Bafana, Mofokeng scored a brace against Eritrea, further strengthening his reputation as a player capable of performing on major stages.

The young winger has already lifted a trophy with Union SG and appears to be adapting rapidly to the demands of European football.

Amid the growing interest, reports claim Mofokeng has informed Union SG that, should he leave the club, his preferred destinations would be Atlético Madrid or Napoli. Napoli are reportedly preparing to make a €3 million (approximately R60 million) offer for the South African during the January transfer window.

For now, Mofokeng remains focused on his football at Union SG, but his performances have undoubtedly placed him firmly on the radar of several European heavyweights.

South African football supporters will be watching closely to see whether the January transfer window brings another major chapter in the remarkable rise of the former Orlando Pirates star. 🇿🇦🔥
