Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly reached an agreement to bring goalkeeping coach Ilyes Mzoughi back to the club, with the experienced coach set to sign a two-year contract with Amakhosi.
Mzoughi’s return is expected to add stability and experience to the club’s goalkeeping department as Chiefs continue working to strengthen their squad and improve performances between the posts. His appointment comes at an important stage for the club, with competition for the goalkeeping position expected to remain intense.
The goalkeeping department has been under significant attention recently, particularly following inconsistent performances and growing discussions among supporters about the club’s options in that position. Mzoughi’s return could therefore provide a fresh approach, while also giving the goalkeepers an opportunity to work under a familiar figure.
The two-year agreement would also suggest that Chiefs are looking at more than just a short-term solution. The club appears to be placing confidence in Mzoughi’s ability to contribute to the development of its goalkeepers and help build greater consistency within the team.
For Amakhosi supporters, his return will undoubtedly attract plenty of interest, with many eager to see whether his presence can make a positive difference.
If the move is officially confirmed, Mzoughi will now have the opportunity to begin a new chapter with Kaizer Chiefs and play an important role in the club’s ambitions over the next two seasons. ✌️🟡⚫
