Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly prepared to go all out in their pursuit of AmaZulu striker Thandolwenkosi Singwane, with head coach Fernando da Cruz believed to be determined to bring the forward to Naturena.
Singwane has enjoyed an impressive campaign so far, scoring seven goals across all competitions, performances that have reportedly convinced the Chiefs technical team that he could strengthen their attacking options.
AmaZulu, however, have made their valuation clear. The Durban-based club have reportedly informed Kaizer Chiefs that they want R13 million for the striker. AmaZulu have also indicated that they could consider a deal involving R13 million plus a player from Chiefs as part of the negotiations.
Da Cruz is understood to have already communicated his position to the Chiefs management, making it clear that Singwane is a player he wants in his squad. The coach is believed to see the striker as an important addition and is willing to support a significant investment to get the deal over the line.
Negotiations between Kaizer Chiefs and AmaZulu are now reportedly underway, with the potential player-plus-cash structure adding another dimension to the discussions. Chiefs will have to decide whether to meet AmaZulu’s financial demands or negotiate terms that could include one of their players moving in the opposite direction.
At this stage, no final agreement has been reached, but the talks are ongoing. Da Cruz’s determination could prove crucial as Chiefs continue working on the deal, while AmaZulu’s R13 million valuation remains the key figure in the negotiations.
